Honoring Father Sam
For those that missed the service on June 25th.
Our parishioner Maria Doerr initiated the process of having an Honourary street name for Father Sam. She approached Councilor Sheri Rollins with the idea, and Ms. Rollins was eager to help with the process.
The idea quickly moved forward and was approved, it took some time to get the signs made and ready for installation. After waiting for about a year the big day arrived.
We were blessed to have Councilor Sheri Rollins attend the 10:30 am and Noon Mass on June 25th and have father Sam in good health to receive the award which was presented at the Noon mass.

After the presentation everyone enjoyed some Nucci’s gelato which was graciously donated by Maria Pepe.
Thank you to everyone who supported this project, and to those who helped celebrate this honor for Father Sam and our parish.
The street sign will be proudly displayed at River and Osborn and River and Nassau for the next 5 years. Thank you to Councilor Rollins for paying for the signs and Thank you to Maria Doerr for initiation this great honor for Father Sam.
