Outreach Ministry

Holy Rosary Church offers several programs as part of our outreach ministry. These groups are available to anyone and are meant to create a community to help and guide during times of need. Below are descriptions and information about each of our outreach programs.

Helping those in need

Holy Rosary is proud to support the Oak Table Inc. – A community of Compassion and Hope.

Oak Table Inc. began as an outreach ministry of Augustine United Church in 1981, as a way of reaching out to the neighbourhood community in Osborne Village. Holy Rosary Church began supporting Oak Table Inc. in 2015 and we continue our commitment to provide food, clothing and essentials to bring hope to the community that uses the services.

Today both Holy Rosary Church and Oak Table Inc. have a strong foundation in the Village and we are proud to continue the efforts of helping the community.

Holy Rosary is also proud to provide a Christmas lunch annually for those in need. The catered hot lunch is provided to people in the Community that use Oak Table services. Our Church community is proud to be able to bring the joy of Christmas to the needy.

We continue to support the efforts of helping our community. Parishioners contribute food, funds and time to support these ministries. We also offer an annual Christmas Lunch for Oak table recipients. Volunteers are always welcome to help serve the hot lunch that is catered for the event.

Ounce of Courage Program

We offer the Ounce of Courage program to those who seek a twelve-step program to recover from Cocaine drug addiction. Meetings are held Wednesday Thursday and Friday evenings starting at 6:30 PM. Anyone who is seeking help is welcome to drop in to any of these meetings.

Compassion Coffee

Knowing that our loved ones are at rest with our loving God, helps us to heal. But sometimes we need to connect with others who are feeling the loss of loved ones. Our Compassion Connection brings together people from our church and community to support each other, to help the healing process. Everyone is welcome to come for support, connection, and cup of coffee. Meetings are throughout the year. For more information please contact Tonina at 204 284-5140 or tonina@mymts.net
